Crowns and Bridges
Recently undergone a root canal? Have an underbite, overbite or tilting tooth that needs correcting?
A dental crown is a complete covering for an existing tooth made from porcelain ceramic or a mic or porcelain and metal. It can rebuild, brace and cap a decayed, weakened, cracked or broken-down tooth, to make it stronger and longer-lasting.
Crowns: why they matter:
Crowns are recommended following root canal therapy, as root canal teeth may become more fragile and in need of protection long-term. Dental crown treatments give a weak tooth its strength back so it can continue doing the job it is supposed to do without risk of it becoming further damaged.
A dental bridge is a prosthetic option used to fill a gap created by one or more missing teeth. It is cemented onto existing teeth either side of a gap/missing tooth.
Dental bridges: why they matter:
Bridging the gap to create a full and natural-looking smile, when a bridge is in place it is often hard to tell which tooth is missing. It is a permanent treatment option – non-removable and provides both cosmetic and functional benefits that help improve your biting function and face appearance.
