Dr Peter is an active member of the Australian Dental Association (ADA), member of the IAADent and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD). He is an Invisalign accredited provider and Somnomed Dental Sleep appliance provider.
With two university degrees in Dentistry and over 15 years practising as both an Oral Hygienist and General Dentist, Dr Peter’s extensive professional background and continued dedication to further study is what makes Kalo Dental a highly sought-after service provider. Dr Peter Bakouris also consults privately at practices in Caringbah and Alexandria.
Beyond Kalo Dental, Dr Peter is a husband to his wife, Rebeckah, and a doting father to their son, Georgio. He loves to get revved up in car and sport chat with his patients, often sharing stories of his latest food, driving adventures and #dadlife extravaganzas. Rebeckah Bakouris
Founding Partner
Rebeckah is a co-founder at Kalo Dental, managing all practice operations, marketing, finance and human resourcing.
As the face behind Kalo Dental’s engaging Instagram and social media accounts, you’ll also find her keeping the practice organised and running swiftly, ensuring your experience is second to none.
Outside of Kalo Dental, Rebeckah is a devoted mum to her and Dr Peter’s boys, Georgio and Theodore. With an impressive career portfolio previously working in producing roles for Nickelodeon, Cosmopolitan magazine (online) and McDonalds, she is a true creative at heart who really brings that “little something extra” to the practice.
Dr Aoife Canon
Associate Dentist BDS (UoD) MFDS (RCSP Glasgow)
Meet Dr Aoife, Associate Dentist at Kalo Dental.
With over 7.5 years experience as a Dentist in Ireland before relocating to Sydney, Aoife comes with a breadth of world-class knowledge having studied a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from University of Dundee, Scotland, sat the royal college of surgeons and physicians of Glasgow and completed postgraduate courses in restorative and aesthetic dentistry.
Most likely to be found on the beach, playing tennis, the thing we love most about Aoife (pronounced “Eeefa”) is her relatable personality and fascination with preventative and minimally invasive dentistry to create beautiful, natural, healthy smiles.
As someone who had a lot of dental and orthodontic treatment as a child she knows first-hand the confidence it gave her and loves being able to do the same for other people.

Meet Dr Nick, Associate Dentist at Kalo Dental.
With several years as a solicitor before embarking into the world of Dentistry, you can rest assured that you will be in the hands of someone with a true passion for his work when you for an appointment with Dr Nick.
Throughout his studies in Dentistry he earned awards for Academic Excellence, the Pierre Fauchard Foundation Scholarship and the Apex Dental Laboratories Excellence in Prosthodontics prize. He is forever excelling and always inspired to provide the best in dental care for his community and patients.
When Dr Nick isn’t in the practice taking care of your teeth and gums, you can find him spending quality time with his wife and two children.

Madeline Assoni

Meet Maddy, Oral Health Therapist at Kalo Dental.
Qualified with a Bachelor of Oral Health, Maddy is experienced in addressing the oral health needs of individuals at varying stages of life. Becoming particularly invested in working with children and adults who suffer from dental anxiety or phobias, Maddy also provides specialist knowledge in oral health for a range of ages including infants all the way to those requiring palliative care.
Having worked with disadvantaged and regional communities, and with her own experience of orthodontic treatment in her adolescent years, Maddy personally understands the impact that a beautiful smile and healthy mouth can have on one’s self-esteem and overall well-being.
A jet setter at heart with her own travel stories to share, she is always up for a chat about food, life, and culture as well as any recommendations you may have for her next good read.

Michaela is a qualified Oral Health Therapist currently with experience in the public system in New Zealand, including delivering paediatric care – restorations, extractions, stainless steel crowns, and pulpotomies. Her experience in hygiene and periodontal care means you can come in for your check up and clean with the utmost confidence, that your smile will be in the best possible hands.
Michaela relocated to Sydney in 2025, starting her role with Kalo Dental so you can bend her ear with all the best Sydney recommendations when you come in for your next check up and clean.
