Whitening
Want whiter, brighter teeth with no signs of coffee stains or tooth discolouration?
Teeth whitening is a cosmetic procedure that lightens your teeth shade by working on internal tooth pigments and internal discolouration. All teeth whitening products contain peroxide, either as carbamide peroxide (CP) or hydrogen peroxide (HP). Whitening is a safe and effective treatment option, that does not damage teeth when prescribed by your highly qualified dentist.
You can select from three whitening treatment options available:
Preloaded non-custom whitening trays:
An easy, cost-effective entry into the world of whitening. This is an over-the-counter solution where you’re given a mouthguard preloaded with whitening gel that you can peel off and adapt to your teeth. Each pack contains 10 treatments. This is a popular choice for a smaller budget, as it is a relatively low cost/entry-level whitening option that is provided with the guidance of your dentist.
Take-home whitening:
This is a fully customised whitening option where the teeth are scanned with our 3D scanner and custom whitening trays are made to fit your teeth and gumline. You are provided with an at-home whitening kit and given instruction in the home whitening routine. The benefit of this option is that it can be done from the comfort of your own home.
Laser whitening:
This is widely considered when wanting faster results with your whitening treatment. We often find patients opt for this method prior to a special occasion or event. Allowing for a bigger range of change and improvement in the colour of your teeth, this service is a one-hour session of whitening at the practice – in the dental chair, whilst watching tv. Whitening treatments are applied directly to the teeth, membranes applied to cover gums/lips and activated by a laser under strict clinical conditions. This type of treatment can improve the colour of a tooth by several shades (although treatment results can vary).
