Dr Peter Bakouris
Founding Dentist

Dr Peter is an active member of the Australian Dental Association (ADA), member of the IAADent and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD). He is an Invisalign accredited provider and Somnomed Dental Sleep appliance provider.
With two university degrees in Dentistry and over 15 years practising as both an Oral Hygienist and General Dentist, Dr Peter’s extensive professional background and continued dedication to further study is what makes Kalo Dental a highly sought-after service provider. Dr Peter Bakouris also consults privately at practices in Caringbah and Alexandria.
Beyond Kalo Dental, Dr Peter is a husband to his wife, Rebeckah, and a doting father to their son, Georgio. He loves to get revved up in car and sport chat with his patients, often sharing stories of his latest food, driving adventures and #dadlife extravaganzas. Having worked in private practice he is well-known for his kind yet meticulous work across the full scope of general Dentistry. With a special interest in Invisalign and children’s dental development, Dr Peter is passionate about helping families improve their dental health with the most cutting-edge techniques. Undertaking a huge number of extra education extension courses and accreditations in Invisalign, whitening, crowns, veneers, root canal treatments, children’s orthodontics, and sleep apnoea treatments over the last 7 years – you can be sure you’re getting the best dental care when choosing Dr Peter as your family dentist.

Rebeckah Bakouris
Founding Partner
Rebeckah is a Founding Partner at Kalo Dental, managing all of our Practice Operations, Brand and Marketing, Human Resources and Finances.
She is the face behind Kalo Dental’s engaging Instagram and social media accounts, and you’ll also find her keeping the practice organised and running swiftly. From hiring the best team members, to running staff training, managing the bookkeeping and maintaining meticulous patient diary records, Rebeckah is an all-rounder for the practice, ensuring that the doors to Kalo Dental open each day and that every patient walks away having experienced the highest level of quality care.
Outside of Kalo Dental, Rebeckah is a devoted mother to her and Dr Peter’s son, Georgio. With an impressive career portfolio previously working in production roles for Nickelodeon Australia, Cosmopolitan magazine and McDonald’s Australia, she’s a true creative at heart and also a passionate baker who knows how to make a pretty good cookie.
Dr Aoife Canon
Associate Dentist BDS (UoD) MFDS (RCSP Glasgow)
Meet Dr Aoife, Associate Dentist at Kalo Dental.
With over 7.5 years experience as a Dentist in Ireland before relocating to Sydney, Aoife comes with a breadth of world-class knowledge having studied a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from University of Dundee, Scotland, sat the royal college of surgeons and physicians of Glasgow and completed postgraduate courses in restorative and aesthetic dentistry.
Most likely to be found on the beach, playing tennis, the thing we love most about Aoife (pronounced Eeefa) is her relatable personality and fascination with preventative and minimally invasive dentistry to create beautiful, natural, healthy smiles.
As someone who had a lot of dental and orthodontic treatment as a child she knows first-hand the confidence it gave her and loves being able to do the same for other people.

Madeline Assoni
Oral Health PractitionerBOH(USyd)
Meet Maddy, Kalo Dental’s resident Hygienist and Oral Health Therapist. Qualified with a Bachelor of Oral Health, Maddy is experienced in addressing the oral health needs of individuals at varying stages of life. Becoming particularly invested in working with children and adults who suffer from dental anxiety or phobias, Maddy also provides specialist knowledge in oral health for a range of ages including infants all the way to those requiring palliative care.
Having worked with disadvantaged and regional communities, and with her own experience of orthodontic treatment in her adolescent years, Maddy personally understands the impact that a beautiful smile and healthy mouth can have on one’s self-esteem and overall well-being.
A jet setter at heart with her own travel stories to share, she is always up for a chat about food, life, and culture as well as any recommendations you may have for her next good read.

Frances Lymbers
Medical Receptionist
Frances is our friendly Medical Receptionist at Kalo Dental.
With a diverse background in all things customer service, Frances has a natural flair for welcoming patients into the practice. Always ensuring every patient visit is as pleasant and smooth as possible, you can rest assured from the moment you choose Kalo Dental, your every visit will be met with a warm smile.
In and outside of work, Frances has a genuine love for helping others. Married to partner John, raising their two boys (who are now young adults) in the local St George area, Frances has lived and served the community for years. Behind the scenes, you’ll find Frances lovingly entertaining family and friends in her home – and of course, always cooking up a feast … after all, her motto in life is “the more the merrier”.
Glazel Postle
Dental Nurse
Glazel is a Dental Nurse at Kalo Dental.
Having worked as a Dental Nurse for over a decade, she comes with a deep passion for helping people along their dental journey, so you can be confident that you’re in good hands with her by your side.
On a more personal level, Glazel is a loving mother to her teenage daughter. In her spare time, you can find her going for a day hike up the mountains or quoting her favourite Zoolander lines such as “there is more to life than being really, really, ridiculously good looking.” Glazel is looking forward to greeting you at the practice on your next visit – you can be sure she’ll be there with a warm and welcoming smile.
Sakshi Maskey
Dental Assistant
Sakshi is a Dental Assistant at Kalo Dental.
Sakshi recently graduated a Bachelor of Science at the University of Melbourne, and has this year embarked on her Doctorate of Dental Medicine at Sydney University.
Having moved to Sydney recently for university, Sakshi is all ears when it comes to your Sydney-side food and exploration adventures and recommendations, so don’t be shy! She is also fluent in Nepali and Hindi, and is a very passionate formula one fan!
Wendy Wang
Dental Assistant
Wendy is a Dental Nurse at Kalo Dental.
Having studied Dental Medicine and Nutrition and Dietetics, Wendy has a vested interest in the holistic health of patients and has assisted chair side in general, cosmetic and implant dentistry for the past two years.
An avid foodie, always looking for the next best place to eat, on her days off you can find Wendy drawing, baking and catching up with friends for a volleyball match. Up for a chat in the practice? Wendy is low-key obsessed with indoor house plants and has a warm love for animals … why not ask her about her 12-year-old Russian blue cat?
Patrice Himonetos
Weekend Receptionist
Patrice is our Weekend Receptionist at Kalo Dental.
Patrice has completed a Bachelor of Science (Health), and has recently returned to university to complete her Masters in Occupational Therapy.
Her passion is providing honest, genuine care, so you can rest assured that you will be warmly welcomed into the practice on your weekend visits with us.
Outside of the clinic, Patrice enjoys crocheting, going to the movies and reading a good book. So on your next visit, be sure to hit her up with your must reads!
Antonia Zaharopoulos
Weekend Receptionist
Antonia is our Weekend Receptionist Kalo Dental.
After coming into Kalo Dental for year 10 work experience, we didn’t want Antonia to leave. So, we asked her to stay … and the rest is history.
This year, Antonia is embarking on her HSC year. But, she enjoys coming into the practice on Saturdays to learn more about her passion, Dentistry.
