Dr Peter Bakouris
Founding Dentist

Dr Peter is an active member of the Australian Dental Association (ADA), member of the IAADent and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD). He is an Invisalign accredited provider and Somnomed Dental Sleep appliance provider.
With two university degrees in Dentistry and over 15 years practising as both an Oral Hygienist and General Dentist, Dr Peter’s extensive professional background and continued dedication to further study is what makes Kalo Dental a highly sought-after service provider. Dr Peter Bakouris also consults privately at practices in Caringbah and Alexandria.
Beyond Kalo Dental, Dr Peter is a husband to his wife, Rebeckah, and a doting father to their son, Georgio. He loves to get revved up in car and sport chat with his patients, often sharing stories of his latest food, driving adventures and #dadlife extravaganzas. Inviting you to do the same, he can’t wait to meet you!

Meet Dr Peter, the Founding Dentist at Kalo Dental.
With two university degrees in Dentistry and over 15 years practising as both an Oral Hygienist and General Dentist, Dr Peter’s extensive professional background and continued dedication to further study is what makes Kalo Dental such a highly sought-after service provider. Having worked in private practice he is well-known for his kind yet meticulous work across the full scope of general Dentistry. With a special interest in Invisalign and children’s dental development, Dr Peter is passionate about helping families improve their dental health with the most cutting-edge techniques. Undertaking a huge number of extra education extension courses and accreditations in Invisalign, whitening, crowns, veneers, root canal treatments, children’s orthodontics, and sleep apnoea treatments over the last 7 years – you can be sure you’re getting the best dental care when choosing Dr Peter as your family dentist.

Rebeckah Bakouris
Founding Partner
Rebeckah is a co-founder at Kalo Dental, managing all practice operations, marketing, finance and human resourcing.
As the face behind Kalo Dental’s engaging Instagram and social media accounts, you’ll also find her keeping the practice organised and running swiftly, ensuring your experience is second to none.
Outside of Kalo Dental, Rebeckah is a devoted mum to her and Dr Peter’s son, Georgio. With an impressive career portfolio previously working in producing roles for Nickelodeon, Cosmopolitan magazine (online) and McDonalds, she is a true creative at heart who really brings that “little something extra” to the practice.
Dr Aoife Canon
Associate Dentist BDS (UoD) MFDS (RCSP Glasgow)
Meet Dr Aoife, Associate Dentist at Kalo Dental.
With over 7.5 years experience as a Dentist in Ireland before relocating to Sydney, Aoife comes with a breadth of world-class knowledge having studied a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from University of Dundee, Scotland, sat the royal college of surgeons and physicians of Glasgow and completed postgraduate courses in restorative and aesthetic dentistry.
Most likely to be found on the beach, playing tennis, the thing we love most about Aoife (pronounced “Eeefa”) is her relatable personality and fascination with preventative and minimally invasive dentistry to create beautiful, natural, healthy smiles.
As someone who had a lot of dental and orthodontic treatment as a child she knows first-hand the confidence it gave her and loves being able to do the same for other people.

Madeline Assoni
Oral Health PractitionerBOH(USyd)
Meet Maddy, Kalo Dental’s resident Hygienist and Oral Health Therapist. Qualified with a Bachelor of Oral Health, Maddy is experienced in addressing the oral health needs of individuals at varying stages of life. Becoming particularly invested in working with children and adults who suffer from dental anxiety or phobias, Maddy also provides specialist knowledge in oral health for a range of ages including infants all the way to those requiring palliative care.
Having worked with disadvantaged and regional communities, and with her own experience of orthodontic treatment in her adolescent years, Maddy personally understands the impact that a beautiful smile and healthy mouth can have on one’s self-esteem and overall well-being.
A jet setter at heart with her own travel stories to share, she is always up for a chat about food, life, and culture as well as any recommendations you may have for her next good read.

Frances Lymbers
Medical Receptionist
Frances is our friendly Medical Receptionist (on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday) at Kalo Dental.
With a diverse background in all things customer service, Frances has a natural flair for welcoming patients into the practice. Always ensuring every patient visit is as pleasant and smooth as possible, you can rest assured from the moment you choose Kalo Dental, your every visit will be met with a warm smile.
In and outside of work, Frances has a genuine love for helping others. Married to partner John, raising their two boys (who are now young adults) in the local St George area, Frances has lived and served the community for years. Behind the scenes, you’ll find Frances lovingly entertaining family and friends in her home – and of course, always cooking up a feast … after all, her motto in life is “the more the merrier”.
Glazel Postle
Dental Nurse
Glazel is a Dental Nurse at Kalo Dental.
Having worked as a Dental Nurse for over a decade, she comes with a deep passion for helping people along their dental journey, so you can be confident that you’re in good hands with her by your side.
On a more personal level, Glazel is a loving mother to her teenage daughter. In her spare time, you can find her going for a day hike up the mountains or quoting her favourite Zoolander lines such as “there is more to life than being really, really, ridiculously good looking.” Glazel is looking forward to greeting you at the practice on your next visit – you can be sure she’ll be there with a warm and welcoming smile.
Antonia Zaharopoulos
Dental Assistant
Antonia is a Dental Assistant at Kalo Dental.
Having found to Kalo Dental while on work experience during high school, we didn’t want her to leave, so we asked her to stay… and the rest is history.
Following her work experience, Antonia initially came on board working as our weekend Receptionist. But over the years, Antonia has shown a continued love for the world of dentistry, embracing all facets of the practice and patient care, taking on sterilisation and dental assisting roles with enthusiasm and passion. So it is no surprise to see Antonia transition into a role of Dental Assisting.
Since graduating from high school, Antonia is ready to embark on her tertiary education studying a Bachelor of Science (Health), alongside weekend work with us at the practice. We’re excited to see what Antonia achieves as she continues her studies whilst working with the Kalo Dental team.
